One of the worst feelings in the world is getting home from a dental visit and wondering if your exam was really as thorough as it should have been.

At Kevin Spees Dentistry, we don't want any of our patients to leave wondering if they received the care they needed. During each visit, Dr. Spees and his dedicated team check everything from tooth structure to gum health, to signs of oral cancer. With a professional team and state-of-the-art technology, you can leave confident in your dental care.

What services do you provide?

During your cleaning and examination, we will take digital X-rays to check the structure of your mouth and look for any infection or decay. We will also do a periodontal probing to check for signs of gingivitis, the early stage of gum disease, or periodontitis. Using advanced technology such as a Diagnonent Intra-Oral Camera and VELscope – we can also check for signs of infection and cancer.

In addition to these things, we also provide:

Dr. Spees cares deeply about your goals and expectations for your oral health. Therefore, your first visit will also include time for a consultation with Dr. Spees so he can get to know you better. Dr. Spees will conduct much of the exam and will be happy to speak with you about any questions or concerns you may have.

How should I care for my teeth between visits?

Caring for your teeth between visits is an essential part of maintaining good oral health. Dr. Spees recommends you brush your teeth at least twice daily and floss each night. Consistent oral hygiene will help reduce the risk of tooth decay and will help protect your gums from built-up tartar and plaque.

How often should I come in for a cleaning?

Routine check-ups and cleanings are critical. Coming in regularly allows our team to monitor your oral health and check for signs of decay or disease. It is the best way to detect oral problems at the early stages when they are still relatively easy to treat. This can save you unnecessary discomfort, money, and time.

Dr. Spees recommends every patient comes in for a check-up and general cleaning at least twice a year. Depending on your specific oral health condition and age, he may recommend more frequent visits.
