I took my sons (ages 12 and 8) to Spees Dentistry for the first time this afternoon. We are transplants from CA and needed to find a local dentist.
I was a little worried as my youngest has struggled with all precious dental visits. And knowing this wasn’t specifically a pediatric dentist, I was worried.
I can’t say how incredibly patient, calm and understanding the hygienist and Dr. Smith were. They gave him a fidget to hold. They talked out loud the procedure and what they were doing. Dr. Smith was so kind and related my son to hers, which helped a lot. She’s a mom and it showed today. It was so appreciated. As a mom to an anxious boy, she helped keep my sanity too. Lol. So grateful to have a place like this. Highly recommend.

The staff is fantastic.
With my positive experiences, I have moved my three kids to his practice.
They accommodated my daughter to get a fiilling before heading off to college.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

One of the best decisions I have made for my dental health was to go to Dr Spees.
1st The office staff and dental assistants all make me feel welcomed and that my comfort is a priority. I give a 5 star because the professionalism and customer service is above expectations. There is a holistic approach to care provided with all cleanings, exams and any dental repairs needed. Procedures are explained so I always know what is being done, and why. I do have to say one of the most impressive moments was not while I was in the office but after I left. After some repair work, I received a call in the evening to assure everything was good and I wasn't having to much pain. This won me over and I knew I found the right dentist.

My appointment was what you would expect. I different hygienist but just as friendly. She made me feel comfortable and was quick!
Dr Spees sees every patient (even the littles!). He is quick but thorough. It’s comforting to know that he checks the work of the hygienist, and ensures you don’t have any questions.
We are new to the area, but have enjoyed our last 2 appointments here.

The checkup exam was the most thorough I've ever experienced in 40 yrs of dental visits.
The repair work process was completed with 1st and foremost my comfort at all times. After each of the visits when repair work was completed Dr Spees called me in the evening to make sure I was well and no difficulty with pain or issues with the procedures. This is a level of quality dentistry that supercedes all expectations.

Going to the dentist is not a particularly fun activity so how did this place have a 5 star average rating? Well, one visit was all it took for me to COMPLETELY understand why. I mentioned at one point in my initial phone call that I was looking for a new dentist in the area because I was going to law school in Indy. Not only did the entire staff remember this fact, but they used it as a conversation piece. Everyone I encountered was super kind. Dr. Spees was friendly, informative, and very helpful. Not to mention, they sent me a card in the mail following my visit. I’ll absolutely be back. I’d highly recommend Kevin Spees Dentistry to anyone.

He took great care of me and I can't say enough about his staff at both offices. I haven't had to take even an aspirin. They are truly the best office staff I've encountered.

I had a cracked molar repaired today, I was dreading it because of my ongoing jaw and neck pain. I’ve had a couple of miserable experiences at other dentists in the recent past. I was already pleased and very comfortable with Dr Spees and his lovely staff since I started using his practice, but today my filling procedure was almost painless and took just over 20 minutes! WOW!
He uses techniques that make the experience so much better and I ended up being very relaxed while I enjoyed the music.

I hate the dentist, probably like everyone else. I hate having a drill in my face and things poking at my teeth, but despite that hatred, Dr. Spees and his staff have always gone above and beyond to make me feel at ease. Cindy knows me on sight and despite six months between visits can recite my job (nanny) and the names of my girls. Each interaction is kind, understanding, and personal. The entire staff is held to a quality standard you just don't see most places. Their records are maticulous and include my preferred methods of certain treatments, any and all reactions I've ever had (however mild), and they even have my preferred tooth polish flavor written down.
Dr. Spees himself is professional while maintaining a familiarity. He always takes the time to ask about my classes and whether I've changed majors or not. As for procedures he takes the time to explain them and answer any questions I have. I personally have a high tolerance for numbing medications and he is the only dentist I've ever had that I didn't need to remind every visit.
Don't plan on switching any time soon. If you have any doubts, be rest assured the entire staff will do their best to help you out and make you as comfortable as you can be at a dentist.

We moved to Indianapolis from Zionsville about 7 years ago, but I continue to be a patient of Kevin's because of the amazing experiences I have at each visit. I will tell you this, each time I return for a cleaning, check up or a major "project", I am more at ease with being there. Doc, your staff does a wonderful job, making your patients feel at ease with whatever the treatment they are receiving. They are very thorough, they answer the phone, they return calls and they explain each process with a method that I understand and learn.
Best of all, your staff doesn't ask me questions while they have both hands in my mouth!
So, maybe I don't despise it now, just do not like to go.

Dr. Spees and his staff have been apart of my life since I was 17 years old and that was twenty something years ago. They are family to me and treat me the same. Cindy, the clue of the office, has always ensured that I remember my scheduled appointments and when I skip one will call with a stern, but loving voice to remind me come in to see them. Over the years almost all members of my family have seen Dr. Spees and through those years we have had emergencies. Without hesitation Dr. Spees would come in during the middle of the night to take care of what we needed. He is a kind man who takes great pride in his work. He does not compromise patient care and spends lots of time explaining procedures. This is why when I lived an hour a way I would make the trip to see him and his staff. It is rare these days to find a doctor who cares as much as Dr. Spees, but also the entire office staff. You are not just another face to them, but a friend. Thank you for your service over the years.
